BreastCancer

Breast cancer is a malignant tumor that develops in the cells of the breast. It typically begins in the ducts (ductal carcinoma) or lobules (lobular carcinoma) responsible for producing milk. Breast cancer can occur in both women and, less commonly, men. Early symptoms include a lump in the breast or underarm, changes in breast shape or size, nipple discharge, or skin abnormalities such as dimpling or redness.

This cancer is classified into various types based on its characteristics, such as hormone receptor-positive, HER2-positive, or triple-negative, which influence treatment approaches. Early detection through regular self-exams, mammograms, and clinical evaluations significantly improves survival rates. Treatment may involve surgery, radiation therapy, chemotherapy, hormone therapy, or targeted therapy, depending on the stage and type of cancer. Breast cancer awareness campaigns have been crucial in educating people about prevention and early detection.
